La Maison du Parc

La Maison du Parc is an extremely comfortable annexe and comprises:

• Kitchen – fully-fitted and equipped with everything necessary to test your culinary skills. 
• Reception/Conference room - large room opens onto terrace 
• 8 double bedrooms - all are ensuite and four have direct access to a private garden 

Outside:

For warm evenings there is a south facing summer kitchen leading into the garden. 
The swimming pool (13.5 x 7.5 metres) is safely screened for children.

The Pigeonnier

The Pigeonnier is part of the chateau, though quite private and independent. It has a living room that opens into a fitted kitchen equipped with everything needed including a washing machine, dryer and microwave.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double with a cot, the other a twin, and a pretty bathroom with a separate wc. In the attic, there is a room suitable for perhaps a teenager who likes to be private. The Pigeonnier also has central heating for those who prefer the quiet cosiness of the Dordogne during the winter months.

Outside is a garden shaded by two large chestnut trees near to the swimming pool (secure for the safety of young children) and equipped with garden furniture.

THE GROUNDS

Chateau Raysse looms from one of the sweeping hills that circle the Dordogne. At every extremity of the estate ancient walks and cycles file to the distance.

There are twenty-five acres of undulating grounds with two swimming pools, two kitchen gardens, lawns, an orchard, pear, fig and cherry trees, a trampoline, centennial trees, a meadow, acres of wilderness and forestry and the Big Field where the donkeys, our goat and the Chateau deer all congregate to greet the passerby. Settle down, read that book, walk around.

Forget the smog, the drilling of the phone, your place in the traffic. You' re in Chateau Raysse - you've escaped!
